Oh Lord - Ely NV...Again!

Shut Up Jack...

It has been a few days since my last post. I have been busy at the Blueberry House: scrubbing floors, woodwork, shelves, toilets, tubs...you name it. And making the phone calls to have the utilities turned on, etc. There is still so much to do!

I did manage to get the Idaho license plates for the car however...

But for now, I am on my way back to California to do more packing there...And then back to Idaho to finish cleaning and to paint. What a circus!

Today, on my drive home, I took the time to stop and take a picture or the Snake River (at Twin Falls ID)

Should be home sometime on Sunday afternoon..

  1. Oh dear, where has the month gone. I knew you were staying until the end of the month and even though work tells me its the end of the month, it still seems to have snuck up on me. Hope your drive is safe. I was getting really used to your being in Idaho. Get back there really soon.

  2. While your are in ELY (that is the airline code for the city as well-I remember from when UA used to fly there-Elko-ELY and I believe SLC one way and SLC-ELY-EKO and then Reno (RNO) the other day) you should check for a house there as well. That way you wouldn't have to stay at Motel 6 and you would always have a reason to go back. Maybe you could rent it to family as a vacation home. I'll bet Jan and Jo would be interested.
Like Jan said, it doesn't seem like you have been up to BOI long enougn to be going back. Are you moving a bunch of your furniture up from Desert Hot Springs? I always try to spell it Deseret first and then correct myself.

  3. Well...I was getting real used to being in Idyho too, and I tried to think of ways out of it. (I even tried to get Todd to go, but he said "NO WAY" or words to that effect anyway. Besides, I seem to have left a few things in CA. The other day, Robert put the phone near Chica's ear and had me talk to her...She 'bout went nuts!

Anyway...The one bright spot about Ely is they have a good Chinese restaurant (Twin Woks...isn't that cute?) and The Old Nevada Hotel has great breakfasts.

  5. It doesn't look like there is a post today from you Ron so I am assuming you are immersing yourself in your packing and getting used to the heat again. You left Boise just in time for it to reach 100 degrees here today. It was 40 two weeks ago. What a crazy year it has been. Hope to see you back in the banana belt real soon.
